Using Facebook to Illustrate Consumer Targeting

Targeting has been a big topic with me at work lately.  It can be pretty daunting to work on a brand with small budget and a lot of geography and a lot of consumers to cover.

Lately, I have been using the Facebook Ad application to illustrate how the numbers get smaller as the parameters get more focused.  I don’t buy ads on Facebook, but this exercise reduces the size of our universe and makes it a little easier to visualize how we should be trying to reach the right consumers.
