Manifesto

YOU CAN”T BUY THAT

That’s what people say when they see good marketing.  That’s because the best marketing can’t be bought.

  • Advertising can be bought and it’s still as relevant as ever – but just not as relevant in terms of selling more product.
  • Quality interactions and meaningful conversations with consumers can’t be bought.
  • Consumers that love your brand will recommend it to their friends, family and co-workers.  It’s called “word of mouth” and it can’t be bought.
  • Product innovation can’t be bought.  You can spend a lot of time and money on it, but spending and buying are two completely different things.

This is version 2.0 of the manifesto.  I like to come back here every now and again and tweak it a little bit.  Maybe I’ll be completely happy with it, but for the time being, I just enjoy tinkering with it.
